Pickup was quick, just mentioned the insurance without pushing it. On the way back, couldn't find a gas station on the highway and returned the car with half a tank. Not sure how much they'll charge.
The store management was chaotic and it was extremely difficult to find the pick-up point. When returning the car, four people of Indian descent came out with magnifying glasses to inspect every inch of the car's paint. They found a small chip caused by a stone on the top right corner, which is two meters high, and demanded compensation. After renting cars over a dozen times, this was the first time encountering such a store. There is no way the damage could have been caused by me in that location.
“We were pleased with the vehicle and the value for money. Easy booking process too.”
About Hertz:9.0/10
Good car just lacked a bit of kick.
Clean and tidy on pick but not full so return was to the same level.
Every scratch or dink was noted and car hire explained clearly on pick up.
Drop of was timely but very difficult to find.
About QEEQ:8.0/10
Details of pick and drop off a little confusing.
Hertz also honoured the timeframe so as we collected late we were given a later drop off time which was good.
The overall service at Hertz airport was great. The counter staff were patient and attentive, and there was no excessive upselling. Picking up and returning the car was smooth, though I had to wait in line for over ten minutes.
Overall satisfied, but the process of picking up the car was extremely slow. I have rented cars in Australia and other places before, but this was the slowest. The entire process took me half an hour. Picking up the car was also slow, the staff member walked out leisurely to find the car, and after a 20-minute wait, he handed me the keys and took me to the car.
Upon returning from renting a car in the UAE, we were charged 1400 yuan for allegedly exceeding the speed limit by 30 km/h. However, we checked with the traffic authorities, and the speed limit for that road is 100 km/h. The car we rented is set to a maximum speed of 120 km/h and alerts if that speed is exceeded, so it is impossible for us to have driven at 130 km/h. We are currently requesting the original ticket through Zuzuche to Herts rental. We have not received it yet and hope Herts and the Zuzuche platform assume their responsibility and provide us with an explanation as soon as possible!
Car was clean but didn’t washer fluid. Overall car could’ve been cleaned a bit more.. but overall service was excellent..would definitely use and recommend Hertz to others.
