This car rental company is a complete scam! When we returned the car, they tried to blame us for old scratches on the left front light (which is one of the most expensive parts to repair). Thankfully, we recorded a video of the car from all angles when we picked it up. The company couldn't pin the damage on us.
Since they failed to extort us for damages and saw that we were rushing to catch a ride back to the city, it suddenly started raining as night fell. The company then generously offered to call a car for us. We agreed, and they called a friend's unlicensed cab. The agreed fare was double the price of an Uber. The car rental staff assured us it was for safety. Once in the car, their burly friend demanded higher fare on the expressway, threatening to kick us out if we didn't pay. For our safety, we had no choice but to pay three times the Uber price.
Overall, it was a harrowing experience. Personal safety is paramount, and this car rental company recklessly endangered its customers for a bit of profit. I sincerely urge everyone to blacklist this rental company! Next time, we'll go with a reputable company like Sixt.
