The service of counter and garage staff was courteous and efficient. My only complaint was with the vehicle.
I reserved a Fiat Panda or equivalent. Unfortunately Firefly didn’t have any cars in that class and they tried to give me a much larger car, which was definitely not useful to me. We compromised on a Fiat Cubo, which has to be one of the worst designed vehicles ever. Because of the front dash construction, with the seat pulled up to accommodate a smaller woman, I could barely fit my leg underneath in order to reach the clutch with my foot. It was virtually impossible to find a comfortable seat position.
The vehicle was too heavy and did not handle well , and the clutch was not at all smooth to operate. All in all, I would never take this model again on a future rental. They should remove it from their fleet.
Typical Italian laid-back attitude, indifference, and heavily accented English! Slow and inefficient service! Also, Firefly is the only rental company at the airport without a rental counter.
car wasn't in the best condition and was banged up quite a bit. I had to ask for more damanges to be shown on the rental paper beforehand. But besides that everything went well.
Collected the car from pisa airport at 5pm via Hertz as the firefly desk was closed. Despite paying for an insurance excess waiver, I had to put a 600 euro deposit on my credit card. The car should have been a Ford fusion or similar but the only cars available were fiat 500s. We picked the biggest (500L). The car had so many dents that I videoed the damage which corresponded with the hire agreement depiction. The fuel gauge also showed slightly less than full. Thankfully the car drove well enough. On returning it the staff at Hertz looked over it and confirmed the damages were pre-existing. ( I videos it again just to be safe).They tried to say the tank wasn't full but I showed them the receipt from the petrol station I had just filled up from and they said the fuel indicator must have been faulty. I would be wary of hiring from them. Luckily one of my party spoke fluent Italian which helped.

Firefly did not honour the booking of a 29 EUR and instead forced a 260 EUR vehicle on arrival. They said "my car wasn't available". On that, their car park was full to the brim with different types of vehicle, and they were actually parking their cars in other rental company's spaces. They offered a high-end vehicle ten times the price without offering apology or any other solution and charged at full price.
Car was what I expected and staff were helpful and friendly.
