Excellent

The car was a fiat 500 not the car we booked. It was in poor condition but mechanically ok. The Guy Andreas who we have met before is very easy to talk to and was understanding of the condition of the car. The process of getting a car at the desk took 40 minutes despite us being the only people at the booking desk. It was late in the afternoon so not ideal.

Returned the car in a different city. The staff's English was poor at pickup and the process was slow, but the staff at drop-off was efficient.

Good price in first place. Car upgraded and was a brand new high spec. vehicle. Very pleasant and helpful check in lady with no attempt to sell extras. First class in every way

The staff were reasonably friendly at pick-up, probably helped by my being able to speak Italian. The car we received was smaller than anticipated, but it had enough room for us to travel from Pisa Airport to our destination about 2 hours away. The Lancia Ypsilon was very underpowered! Especially going up hills, which often required dropping down 2 or 3 gears to climb!!! On the return, the agent commented that they were unable to check the condition of the car, as it was dirty, and that I would have to take it to a car wash before returning it! The dirt was from 18 days driving around white roads and normal roads in Tuscany during which time we experienced a range of weather conditions from heat to thunderstorms and heavy showers of rain. No mention was made at pick-up about returning the car "washed". Nor have I ever experienced this requirement with any other car hire company at Pisa Airport, or any other airport in Italy, over the past 30 years!

A typical car rental experience...too many people disorganized counter. Seems like the business is stuck in the 1960's...and not in a good way. We paid extra for an automatic convertible car...they gave us a manual one at first and then didn't have a convertible that was automatic...so a waste of money. Car return was poorly coordinated as well...had us standing in the rain and no place to park the car. Ultimately this is what you get for finding the cheapest options. Also the industry needs a proper overhaul.
