The Europcar staff provided excellent service. My English is not very good, but the staff used gestures while explaining and wrote down the key information. They asked me repeatedly if I understood or needed further translation.
1. We weren't informed that we needed a pass for crossing the border, only told to show relevant documents to the police if needed, resulting in a 150 Euro fine.
2. The amount charged didn't match what was told at the location, they overcharged us by more than 3500.
It was okay. I sensed they weren't particularly friendly towards Chinese customers, but there weren't many people when picking up the car, so it wasn't too bad.
This was my first time driving in Europe, and I was worried about being scammed by the car rental company. However, the staff at Europcar in Austria and the Czech Republic were nice and patient. They also upgraded my car. During the return in the Czech Republic, the staff inspected the car and signed off.
The staff's attitude was mediocre. When I pointed out some scratches that were not originally mentioned, the female employee got quite upset. She couldn't make a decision on her own and had to call a supervisor to confirm and make a note.
