Originally agreed to return the car in the city, and I had paid extra for someone to collect the car at the hotel. On the day of return, they said they were short-staffed and asked me to drive the car back to the store myself.
Smooth communication. The car rental company sent reminders about the pickup time via email and messaging apps a day before. Upon arrival at the airport's multilevel parking garage and contacting them, it only took five minutes to get the car. Child seats and ETC cards require cash payment. The ETC card deposit is 30,000 yen, with adjustments made during the return based on usage.
They need to ensure rental cars are regularly serviced and is actually drivable.
