When I rented a car on August 29th, the rental company stated that the deposit would be refunded within a month. By the end of September, they claimed they couldn't refund the deposit due to the company's holiday (this is an Australian rental company, yet they observe China's National Day). Afterwards, they came up with various excuses not to refund the deposit, and sometimes the company's customer service did not respond. At the beginning, the rental company's staff said that there would be a processing fee if I used a POS machine, but if I used a QR code to scan with Australia's Royal Pay, there would be no fee. I paid a deposit of 5064 RMB, but finally, the company refunded only 5000 RMB citing the processing fee (while asking for the deposit, they also mentioned they could refund the full amount).
Please refund the deposit to users as soon as possible, it has been two months with no updates. They claimed there was a $30 violation, but no fine notice was provided. Others charge a $100 deposit, while it feels like you are just collecting money.
All contact methods failed to reach the company, directly causing a four-hour delay in pick-up time and ruining the entire day's schedule.
