The AVIS staff did not inform us what the TAB (car accessory) was before listing it on the contract; later we found out it was a GPS. They failed to inform us in advance. However, the staff was very detailed when recommending vehicle upgrades and additional insurance options.

Since I only had a US driver's license and not a Chinese one, Avis did not accept the order from the car rental platform. It took two hours to resolve the issue through the platform’s customer service, placing a new order and negotiating a refund for the difference. I bought full insurance on QEEQ, so I had to be extra careful not to buy it again at the office, which was exhausting. My poor English made it difficult, and I had to message QEEQ to confirm everything each time. The staff didn't have the patience for that. It might be less tiring to buy insurance at the office. I haven’t compared the prices, but you often end up spending extra money on trips. It’s hard to avoid.

I had already booked a seven-seater SUV with AVIS through Zuzuche and paid in advance, but when I arrived they said there were no cars available and tried to give me a four-seater. Even though I had purchased comprehensive insurance, they kept trying to sell me more insurance. It took almost three hours from queuing to getting the car. In the end, I had to reluctantly buy additional insurance to get a seven-seater, which was actually a car that had just been returned and not yet cleaned. This rental experience was really terrible and the service was extremely poor.
