The car was quite old; it's my first time renting a vehicle with mileage exceeding 120,000 miles (close to 200,000 kilometers). The condition of the car was poor, with multiple spots of touch-up paint from scratches and a dirty air conditioning system.
In nearly 20 years of renting cars abroad, this is my first time needing additional insurance coverage, and the claims were not limited to one area. While a small scratch on the front bumper was an understandable charge, two other scratches on the rear bumper were contested and not accepted (we had pictures from pickup). The left front mudguard was claimed to be missing due to us, which was absurd (we made a careless mistake by not taking photos of it during pickup). Honestly, if the screws on your car's mudguard aren’t tightened properly and combined with the disastrous roads in your country, it’s no surprise car parts fall off during driving.
Overall, the visa-free policy of this country makes sense. The natural scenery is good, but the infrastructure is terrible. The roads are filled with potholes and washboard surfaces, making self-driving highly unsuitable.
The booking required cross-border travel to Armenia, but when picking up the car, they said they hadn't received the information and asked us to come back the next day. It's unclear whether the issue was with QEEQ or the rental company. Even after 15 days, no one has provided an explanation.
The car was too old, with interiors and features from over 20 years ago, making it hard to look at. But being old has its advantages—you don't need to worry too much about it.
Picked up the car from the parking lot. In Kazbegi, the tire was punctured by a nail, but the rental company provided guidance and their service was very good. The car was not provided with a full tank of fuel, nor was it required to be returned with a full tank — make sure to pay special attention to this point.
I had heard bad reviews, so I made sure to protect the car. The vehicle indeed had hidden issues—the front mudguard fell off when driving at 120 km/h. To avoid being charged unfairly by the rental company, I found a repair shop by the roadside and fixed it for 5 Lari. Before returning the car, I also cleaned it thoroughly myself, so the rental company didn't give me any trouble.
There was a dedicated staff member at the airport arrival area to greet us. The process was smooth, the service was attentive, issues were resolved efficiently, and communication was excellent.
Very satisfied! The owner is very nice! We decided to go to Armenia last minute and they helped with the paperwork right away! No extra charges! The car was excellent! Perfectly handled snowy conditions! Absolutely no regrets!
