Hertz Car Rental in Orlando, FL

I rented from Hertz in two locations, and the experience was quite good.

Very good. The only issue was the long queue when picking up the car. I returned the car at 3 AM and surprisingly, there were two staff members available to collect the vehicle. Very nice. I returned the car two days earlier, and the charges were fair. I liked it. It was a super small car, but it accommodated three of us comfortably. The trunk fit two 28-inch suitcases.

Big companies are generally reliable and don't push additional sales, but the waiting time was too long—had to wait an hour to pick up the car.

The pickup store was subpar, while the drop-off store was normal.

Easy to find and noticeable, but the service seems to have a slight tendency toward upselling.

There were ants in the car, which was quite unpleasant.

The pickup process was fine, but returning the car was very problematic. The navigation provided was incorrect, leading us to someone else's parking lot. That parking lot allowed entry but not exit, and there were spikes on the ground which caused a flat tire when we returned to their parking lot. They charged over $300 for the tire replacement, which is completely unacceptable. Overall, it was a very poor car rental experience.

Hertz is quite reliable in the US. The default comprehensive insurance saves a lot of time when picking up and dropping off the car.
