Really quick and smooth pick up and drop off. Had a small problem that the drivers side doors wouldn’t lock on the car we where given but a quick phone all and we where given an upgrade and straight swap for a better 4x4. Car was in great condition and couldn’t fault it.

First They did not have the vehicle we booked. They then said they were upgrading us and tried to give us a 9 person van. As you can imagine not ideal for traveling for parking or expense if gas. Not really an upgrade. Then they gave us an old minivan.

We have had a horrendous experience with Green Motion cars, the car which was given to us was a 10 year old car and on day 2 as we left Reykjavik to go around Iceland we started facing a number of issues:
1. The Air Con was not working- since it was peak summer in Iceland, we needed AC most of the time and the AC in the car was not working.
2. The wipers were not working and this caused lot of issues during the whole trip
3. Anti Mist not working- we faced a lot of issue because of the clouds/misty/foggy conditions where the anti-mist was not working.
When we called support and customer services a number of times, they asked us to visit a garage in Mvytan where we had to go out of our way to visit the garage and the mechanic confirmed that the ac pump is broken and he also said if he changed the wiper blades it wont make much of difference as it was an old car and the wiper motors need change. We were asked to continue the trip in these horrendous conditions since they dont have any other option and would offer a discount when we return the car back.

The car we got was a bit battered on the outside, but it didn't bother us since it consumed next to nothing (which is a big bonus with Iceland price for petrol) and even though it looked small on the outside (Toyota Yaris), we could easily fit in 3 people with all camping gear. Pick up was easy, so was the drop off. I took pictures of all the bruises our car had and was a bit worried they might blame me for some of them even if they were not my fault (bad Trustpilot reviews), but they did not complicate at all.

Al momento de la recogida todo medianamente bien pero nos hacen pagar un seguro (porque sino, no nos dan el coche aún llevando contratado otro seguro con antelación) y este seguro no te cubre nada!. A la hora de la devolución El personal fue lo peor, hacían por no entendernos, con el idioma, se reían de nosotros incluso con burlas. Nos han estafado y además nos amenazaron con no llevarnos al aeropuerto y casi perdemos el vuelo.

When we returned car the staff at the car rental company said the car has a little scratch that even can't be seen it. They were trying to make us to pay for this damage and finally we found this scratch in the photo that we took before. we fought with this guy in a hour and almost missed flight.
I will not use this GREEN MOTION again!

I rented a GOLF in auto transmission with a higher price but end the staffs offer me with a Mazda 2 in manual transmission. I was surprise and asked them that I thought I rented a GOLF in auto when booking but I was told by the staffs it is similar car. I said when I book online that time Mazda 2 or Hyundai i30 is cheaper than a GOLF. But the staffs told me that this is only similar car that they have so end up I they give me a Mazda 2 auto transmission.
I’m very big size so when I’m getting in or out from the Mazda 2 always will have some difficulties.
The car conditions was terrible as the engine check light indicator was on when I got the car and they told me is fine as it has been like this for awhile and after i drove for a feed day the water and tires indicator light on.
I’m quite disappointed and upsets that it was a totally different type of car that I booked and the condition of the cars was so terrible that I need to worry for my whole trips that will this car breakdown halfway.
I will definitely not to recommend any of my friends or book any car rental from this company again.

This company is extremely poor. First, I booked a Grand Cherokee. When I arrived, they said they didn't have it and gave me a Jeep Cherokee. They insisted it was of the same grade, claiming the Trailhawk was just as good, but a Grand Cherokee starts at half a million, whereas a Cherokee at most costs three hundred thousand. The same grade? They said if I insisted on a Grand Cherokee, I could wait for an old model for three hours until 7 PM, which would disrupt my schedule. I had to accept it. Such an untrustworthy foreign company should not be recommended. When returning the car, they inspected it meticulously and claimed an existing damage was not marked. Luckily, I bought full coverage, otherwise I would have had to compensate them. What an awful company.

Excellent service, the staff at the rental company were very handsome, enthusiastic and considerate. Their driving skills were top-notch. I had booked a SUZUKI VITARA, but they replaced it with a HONDA CRV, which was an automatic, very new, and easy to drive. I will definitely rent from them again next time I visit Iceland.

Terrible experience! After completing the formalities and being informed that I had purchased the supplementary full insurance from the rental service, the female manager on duty tried to sell me paper maps, GPS, and various insurances, which I refused. Her attitude then became very unfriendly. The Vitara arranged for me was red and had over 90,000 kilometers. While driving from Seljalandsfoss to Skógafoss, I received a call from the rental company inquiring about the vehicle's condition and requesting an inspection the next morning in Vík. The male staff member sounded very anxious on the phone. After I confirmed that the car was fine, his tone noticeably relaxed. About an hour later, before reaching Vík in a mountain pass near the branch road to Sólheimajökull Glacier, the throttle stopped responding, and the car eventually stalled. When I contacted the company for assistance, they insisted without inspection that it was my improper operation that caused the throttle failure (later, the provided repair list proved it was a clutch failure). Due to the poor communication and rude attitude of the rental company, I terminated the service agreement. Thanks to the persistent efforts of colleagues from the rental service, we finally succeeded in getting compensation. The rental company's behavior was malicious, and their service before, during, and after the rental was very irresponsible and rude. I give them a bad review. First-time visitors to Iceland planning to rent a car should consider their options carefully.

The drive to the pick-up point took less than 10 minutes. There weren't many people in line, but the efficiency was low. There were various sales pitches for different insurances.

The store is close to Reykjavik Airport, but their service is really bad. First, there is the intimidating insurance upsell. If you don't buy their €15 per day insurance, no matter how comprehensive your insurance from rentals is, they will pre-authorize a 290,000 ISK repair fee for any accident. Every minor scratch is considered an accident, and you'll have to pay over 15,000 RMB up front for repairs, which is a scam. If you buy their insurance, they only deduct 2,000 ISK. Low efficiency; from struggling to find their shuttle at the airport to finishing the communication, I spent 600 RMB on international calls. Never renting from this company again.

After contacting the rental company, they promptly arranged for roadside assistance and a replacement car. This car rental company is absolutely terrible. Remember the name, Green Motion! The exterior of the car we got was very damaged. The steering wheel had issues, the brakes were unresponsive, the acceleration was poor, and the seats were full of pits and dents. This led to a disastrous trip in Iceland, causing us to return the car and leave Iceland two days early. Our remaining accommodation was wasted, and we had to buy new tickets as we couldn't change our flights. When returning the car, we discovered that the GPS we rented couldn't enter the return address correctly because it was faulty and couldn't input the number 6. We even got help from Hertz staff to try and input it, but they couldn't either. Since their office wasn’t at the airport, we spent two hours looking for the return location and eventually left the car in front of a hotel at the airport, waiting for them to pick it up. Communication over the phone was very unpleasant, and they refused to come and get the car. We were almost missing our flight, and it was only after my companion angrily hung up that they sent someone. Returning the car two days early didn't get us any refund, and they even charged an additional 10,000 ISK without our permission. Overall, Green Motion deserves extremely negative reviews!!!

Domestic insurance was not directly accepted, so a high deposit was required when picking up the car. They offered sandstorm insurance, but considering the weather, I did not purchase it.
They recommended renting a GPS when picking up the car. However, I had already ordered a free GPS when booking through ZuzuChe, so I didn't rent one. The car actually had a built-in GPS. Perhaps the staff was not familiar with the vehicle, otherwise, they might have tried to upsell. The Chinese GPS was more convenient.

No Chinese service, and they tried to upsell insurance. If you don't buy their full insurance, they hold 11,111 euros on your credit card. We were in a hurry and didn't argue with them, partly because of the language barrier. It seemed impossible to hold such a large amount, so we didn't pursue it further. The GPS provided by the rental service was mediocre; our phone worked better. They gave us a Jeep with over 60,000 km, and its condition was really poor.

It’s a good car rental company! Overall, it’s fine! They patiently explain various rules to you. They won't give you the car until you listen to everything! When I returned the car, I left my phone inside. When I went back, they returned it to me! Icelandic people have a high level of integrity! But make sure the rental car has a towing rope, you’ll need it in Iceland! If it doesn’t, ask for one just in case.

The service at the car pick-up location was decent, and it took about 10 minutes for both picking up and dropping off the car.
The problem handling was unsatisfactory. The car’s air conditioner broke on a hot day. We could not reach them by phone during business hours, and had to email for help. The email response asked us to call their office, which then redirected us to call the car repair service. The repair hotline couldn't see our caller ID and couldn't text us the repair address. When we asked for an email, it took forever, and when we called again, they suddenly could see our number and texted us the address.
We had to visit the repair shop twice. The first visit they were too busy without an appointment, and the second visit after waiting for an hour, they told us they didn't have the necessary parts and advised us to endure until we returned the car.
Later, the rental company called and offered us a discount but couldn’t specify how much. At the airport, they claimed they'd never heard of any discount, and we had to email for assistance again. After insisting, they found a note from a colleague and gave us a one-day rental discount. Considering we rented the car for 13 days and endured the heat, the 0.76-day discount as compensation felt ridiculous and frustrating.

I bought full insurance on Zuzuche, but when picking up the car from the rental company, they insisted I purchase another full insurance for 160 Euros. After negotiating, they said if I don't buy it, they would hold 2000 Euros on my credit card. I can understand pre-authorization and deposits when renting cars domestically, but it's normally unnecessary for renting abroad. They blatantly bullied Chinese customers. A German couple next to me only needed to verify their order information and sign their names to get their keys and collect their car, which was conveniently parked right at the entrance. On that day, it was raining in Iceland, and after we bought the insurance, they simply handed us the keys and told us to find our car in the parking lot ourselves. Normally, I could understand this procedure at airports, but comparing the two experiences was disheartening. Aren't German and Chinese customers both customers? This isn't just about the insurance scam; it's about the extra effort paid because of bad weather and still receiving subpar service.

They don't accept Zuzuche's insurance. They said if we don't buy their insurance for 2200 RMB, we need to leave a deposit of over 3000 USD, which wouldn't be refunded if there was a problem. Since our previous car rental already took a substantial deposit, we didn't have enough left for the 3000 USD, and were forced to buy their insurance. They maliciously increased the deposit. 1. They didn't note the original scratches on the car in the contract when we picked it up.
2. When we returned the car, they claimed one of the scratches was our fault and demanded at least 1000 euros for repairs.
3. They forced us to sign a contract agreeing to pay for the repairs, otherwise they wouldn't let us leave.
4. Initially, they said they would deduct the repair cost from our 18,000 euro deposit, but when we signed the compensation contract, they had already transferred the entire deposit to the rental company's account.
5. When we presented photos taken at the time of pickup as evidence, they kept delaying, saying the responsible staff had already left for the day. Eventually, we encountered two French girls having the same issue and arguing. Only because of their pressure did the staff finally call the manager. It was clear they were stalling because they knew we had a flight to catch, showing a lack of respect towards Asians.
Overall, this car rental company is terrible. Blacklisted forever.

The staff were okay. Their attitude and speed were acceptable. However, I booked a PASSAT or a similar model but was given a SUZUKI instead. They didn’t have a Passat. The Suzuki was not at the same level as the Passat and had over 60,000 kilometers on it. The car was just okay. Compared to other companies' cars, this one didn't feel new.
