Extremely satisfied with the self-driving experience. The song of ice and fire did not disappoint. Iceland's public transport system is not well developed, and some places can only be reached by driving yourself or joining a tour.

It is the worse car rental company in my travelling journey up to now!! Unreliability - I was booked a diesel used car for ten days more journey half-year before in order to economy fuel consumption , but only a gasoline car to be chosen.... Untruthful - The staff mislead much compensated cost instead of the fact as some damage to be found!

Counter staff at Lotus were extremely helpful and didn't unnecessarily push and extra insurance. They gave great tips on where to visit, as well as a thorough explanation of the rules of the road in Iceland. They don't look to charge you for hidden costs and return was painless with no worrying about car condition involved. Superb service - other car rental companies should take note and learn from Lotus.

We were grateful for the customer courtesy collection as it would have been difficult to get to the collection point at Reykjavik. This wasn't clear ath the time of booking the car.

1. Provide unresonalble class of the car, the land rover should be Premium SUV class and it is not the same as nissan xtrail. The car price of Land rover could be 2 or 3 times higher than Xtrail how can AVIS put it in the same class? this is unfair for customer! 2. Provide mulfunction car to customer. Your staff said The Nissan Xtrail car is the brand new one that use only 8000 km. But it show speed fault. The car speed that was checked with speed limit on the road has 10km/h different from the speed shown in the car instrument panel. This caused me a lot problem for controling speed and it delay my trip a lot! 3. Your staff lied to me that the car don’t have built in GPS so i need to add more cost to borrow the GPS from AVIS but actually there is in the CAR! This make me feel very bad that AVIS is unreliable and untrustable. From these 3 reasons, I won’t use your service again and won’t recommend anybody to use your brand.

I rented a GOLF in auto transmission with a higher price but end the staffs offer me with a Mazda 2 in manual transmission. I was surprise and asked them that I thought I rented a GOLF in auto when booking but I was told by the staffs it is similar car. I said when I book online that time Mazda 2 or Hyundai i30 is cheaper than a GOLF. But the staffs told me that this is only similar car that they have so end up I they give me a Mazda 2 auto transmission. I’m very big size so when I’m getting in or out from the Mazda 2 always will have some difficulties. The car conditions was terrible as the engine check light indicator was on when I got the car and they told me is fine as it has been like this for awhile and after i drove for a feed day the water and tires indicator light on. I’m quite disappointed and upsets that it was a totally different type of car that I booked and the condition of the cars was so terrible that I need to worry for my whole trips that will this car breakdown halfway. I will definitely not to recommend any of my friends or book any car rental from this company again.

Green Motion staff was great, friendly and knowledgeable. Though they aimed at telling us the ash and sand damage is not covered by any insurance even I got Super Protection that covers all in my rental. They talked many times and eventually I was made to buy the ash and sand protection.

wait too long to get the car. From departure gate, I spend almost 20 minutes to try to search for the person who pick me up for the car. After successful find that person, he ask me to wait for 15 min, he send other to et the car, after 15 min, he ask me to wait another 15 min , because there is anothetr person who wait them for almost 1.5 hour already. then after that, he send that person to pick up the car, ask me to wait another 15 min. end out I only successful reach there collection center after 1.5 hours. then take another 20 min to collect my car. When return car, they say got provide transfer to airport every 15 min, but end out I am waiting for 45 min for the transfer. conclusion, there is only one person there who incharge for pick up at airport, drive me to the car collection center, send people to airport from collection center. How can be done in 15 min for pick up and retuen. you need to expect at least 3 times of the times.

But the right rear tire sensor was found malfunctiin and spare tire was bursted was not awared. Flattened tire in 2 times and required towing and replacement of one new tire. Fortunately, after negotiation with Procar , they agreed to took full responsibility, and return ine day rental fee.

service was good although not "on site " as I was expecting. I took over £1299 excess from my card rather than just putting a hold on the amount which is something that had never happened before. No one was at the office to take the car back so I took photos to prove I had not damaged the car. If I get my dep back soon I could not fault the service!!

First, we landed at Iceland International Airport, and this car rental company did not have a pickup counter there. Following the address provided, we had to take an airport bus to the domestic airport at our own expense, which took an hour. However, there was no pickup counter at the domestic airport either. We called the rental company and waited at the domestic airport for over 10 minutes until someone came to pick us up. It took another 10-minute drive to reach the pickup point, which turned out to be a Honda dealership. The pickup process was very slow, and we were charged a deposit of 335000 ISK. Returning the car was also problematic; it was at a different location and hard to find based on the address given by the staff. We had to ask two people for directions before finding the place, which was stressful as we had a flight to catch right after returning the car. The return point was another Honda dealership. Even though the car was in perfect condition, the deposit would take one to two months to be refunded. It’s really better to rent from a big company; this local rental company is very unreliable. This has been my worst car rental experience ever, definitely a negative review.

Picking up the car was extremely complicated. After landing, I checked the pickup location based on the navigation information, and it turned out to be more than 50 kilometers away! I was instantly confused and noticed there was another domestic airport. I quickly took the airport shuttle to the domestic airport, but when I reached the end of the road shown on the map, I had to carry my luggage and ask people at the domestic airport. Even the only staff member at the airport didn't know where this rental company was. I had to call the rental car company with my bad English, and all they could say was 'sorry' and 'please wait.' After several calls, and contacting Zuzuche customer service, I waited for an hour before the rental company finally brought the car. It turned out that the pickup and drop-off locations on their order were at the international airport, which we totally missed. Whether it was the rental company's mistake or Zuzuche's, it was an extremely bad experience. Thankfully, the rest of the self-drive trip went smoothly.

It wasn't obvious where the car hire depots were - the symbol in the airport was a car with a key above and we were not sure we were following the correct signs. The girl at desk was not happy that I didn't take any additional insurance policy. I chose a policy on the website that I thought covered everything I might encounter but she advised it didn't cover for natural disasters. I chose not to pay for this as the areas she indicated there might be a problem I wasn't going to visit.

Dislike: The car was a little worn down and had previous damage on it. I saw some rental agencies put stickers to previous damages to clearly mark what is known to the agency. I would very much appreciate if Budget did the same.

Like: The car was perfect, it got me everywhere I needed for the two weeks, it didn’t come with WiFi, but I managed to get one with their help, I appreciated them telling me to get full insurance coverage and letting me know how badly the cats get beat up in Iceland. It’s so true. Ricks are constantly being throw up by other cars in front of you and hitting your windows and fast moving trucks down south. I like how fast they work to get you in and out of there.
Dislike: The cost of the full insurance was quite high. WiFi or gps should be included in the rental package, but everything ekes was good and fast.

The pick-up process seems outdated. With all the information already provided to Easyrentcars, I was surprised to need to provide all the information again. Also, the car was quite old (around 60,000km) and had multiple bumps on all sides and a few broken interior elements - so was not too pleasant overall.

The car I rented outside was not clean and had many damage when I picked up was cold weather, strong wind and snowing hardly ( I had just arrived Iceland). They had 2 customers in hurry so I could not check anything and I didn’t got GPS that I requested on email I thought it should be prepared for me in car already and they went away from office already too I asked them when I returned car they said I should told before pick up car!!! I sure I didn’t made car new damage if they will not charge me after they may me fair car and fair care.

The office was shut on arrival and there were no instructions to call the number to make the pick up. If there had been clearer instructions we wouldn't have wasted an hour wondering around in the snow trying to work out if we were in the right place. Eventually we got through to Gunnar who picked us up. All smooth after that.

Like: This company use older cars and price accordingly. We might not have had the smartest car in Iceland but we felt we had a good deal.
Dislike: The car was over 3 years old and had so many scratches, dents etc it was difficult to check them all. FLIZZR are part of SIXT. Although in Iceland there is a sign over the door we did not realise we were to use SIXT for the check in. This caused confusion. Check out took longer than other car hire firms.
