I was a little frustrated because one of the reasons I rented the car was to take it across the border to Guatemala. I called AVIS ahead of time to see if that was possible and they said yes, just tell them at the rental desk your plans. When I arrived at the rental desk they said they do not allow people to take cars across the border. So we paid for a rental for 3 days where it was parked while I had to pay extra for a cab to take us across the border.
The pickup process took too long, and there was a lot of distrust. After getting the car, I found the fuel tank was not full. Poor experience!
