The rental company closes at 3 PM. If you arrive late to pick up the car, they cancel the booking even though I paid in full. They don't reserve the car or issue a refund. The only option is to pay extra for an upgrade, and the price difference for the upgrade is 1.5 times the original booking.
The car was great. The originally booked A3 group vehicle was unavailable, so I paid a bit extra to upgrade to a new Mercedes E. Crossing the border requires an additional fee.
The staff were friendly and professional. The whole process took less than 20 minutes after showing my documents.
