The repair cost in China would be around 300-200 yuan. I thought Goldcar would charge 300 euros for sure. Unexpectedly, they calculated a whopping 1077.34 euros, including repair fees, taxes, downtime, etc. It was a total rip-off!! By the way, I never had an accident. The only explanation is that it got hit while parked. Honestly, I suspect they might have intentionally damaged the taillight during inspection, but this is just speculation without evidence. Additionally, the gas station near Malta airport is extremely hidden. I've never encountered an airport that hides the gas station so well, clearly to prevent you from returning the car with a full tank. I couldn't find the gas station and planned to return the car with an empty tank due to a tight schedule. In the end, Goldcar charged an 80-euro refueling fee, not including the fuel cost! It was just a handling fee, completely unreasonable. It’s an absolute scam! Be very careful with them, and you'll need to be extremely vigilant to avoid being ripped off.
