Determining the cost of damages is so slow, it takes 4 weeks to assess just two small scratches.
I had to pay 3300 AUD upfront for minor scratches, and they will refund the difference if it costs less.
Such small scratches would only cost 200 RMB to fix domestically, and I'm still waiting for confirmation.
