You can walk to the counter of Europcar - Hamburg Airport car rental.

The branch is located in the arrival hall of Terminal 2. Please proceed to counter and pick up the car.(The branch will arrange staff reception and charge an extra fee of 32 euros during the scheduled time after business hours.)

Drop-off Instructions

A dropping-off car sign can be seen near the parking lot of the airport . Follow it and drive directly into the first floor of the parking building, which is next to the Car Rental Centre at the airport. After parking the car, please go to the counter and ask the staff to inspect the car. (The branch will arrange staff reception and charge an extra fee of 32 euros during the scheduled time after business hours.)

The car rental location in Hamburg is a bit hard to find; it seems the GPS might be slightly off. However, following the airport signs makes it easier to locate. The staff was very nice and upgraded us to a Mercedes-Benz C-Class. During the trip, a stone hit the front windshield, causing a long crack. We immediately stopped by the Eu store in Oldenburg, where the staff wrote a proof that it wasn't our fault, and the issue was resolved smoothly in the end.
