Alamo counter Agent Antonio was difficult to deal with and insisted that I had to show him a "British Drivers Licence" for the contract to be valid. Even after I showed him a printed version of the contract specifying that a valid USA or Canadian Driver's Licence was acceptable, he was still difficult, combative and argumentative. informing me, that since I used a British Car Rental Agency, I had to present a British Drivers Licence. How sad !!! Antonio attempted to tell me that my Contract with Easy Car rentals for Alamo was not valid !!!.
Finally, I was able to convince Antonio, that my Contract was valid and that his interpretation was in-correct. This was a frustrating experience for me, which was uncalled for. There were other issues with Antonio as well because of his rude attitude.

Excellent and quick service -no queue which was a bonus after the long ,long delays in getting through passport checks. A good selection of vans to choose from .
Booked full to full but changed at desk to return empty- probably cost me as you forget fuel is so cheap in USA.
I also took a child seat at desk and fact I had paid for a 15 seater van with 8 passengers just felt it a bit of a rip off having to pay for just one child seat.

Staff trying to upsell to much putting on extensive pressure to spend more on a smaller more expensive vehicle and basically been negative in the vehicle I had booked. When i declined numerous times attitude changed negatively. Also when signing documents just told to sign in various places but with no explanation on what I was signing for. Don't get the access insurance instead save by doing it yourself at www.carhireaccess.com who were $44 cheaper than Alamo.
The Chevrolet mini bus I booked did 13.5mpg to the gallon so its thirsty. Good job petrol is cheaper in the usa than the uk. It's about £0.56p a litre compared to £1.32 in the uk.

Wouldn't hesitate to return to Alamo for my next trip, very easy throughout collection and drop-off and staff were pleasant as well.
We all appreciated the speed at which we had our car considering we had been travelling for 15 hours and to have zero hassle was great.

Since I arrived early in the morning, there was only one staff member, but the process was quick and I had my car within ten minutes. However, one minor issue was the tolls on the highway, which could be paid either in cash or via the ETC system. I wasn't informed about this at the time. Fortunately, my friend saw an English instruction in the rental information indicating that I could use ETC and the fee would be charged to my credit card, so I was able to proceed smoothly.

At the store, they mainly tried to sell me insurance, and there was some attitude after I refused. Additionally, they charged me for a full tank of gas at the time of return (even though it was supposed to be returned full) and claimed it was included in the prepaid contract. However, they still directly charged my credit card. In hindsight, I should have refilled it before returning, but the gas cost they charged was as if the tank was completely empty. So, don't believe them if they say gas costs more near the return location.

Very convenient. After picking up the luggage, you complete the formalities on the B1 floor and walk to the parking lot to pick up the car, which took less than half an hour. Although we arrived late and the reserved CTS was unavailable, there was a BMW 328i in excellent condition with only 9000 miles!

The location is convenient, right inside Orlando Airport. However, I was sold a $44 insurance product because the domestic insurance would require claiming after returning to the home country and the Alamo staff mentioned a deductible amount. To avoid any hassle, I bought the additional insurance. I recommend clearly stating this information in prominent locations in the future. Additionally, the $24 deposit refund was processed slowly.

Picked up the car at Orlando airport. When I arrived, Alamo's parking lot had almost no compact size cars left as I reserved, and the clerk kept pushing me to choose a higher category. I ended up with a Chevy Sonic LTZ, which is similar to the Chevrolet Aveo in my country, with a 1.4 T engine. Overall, I was quite satisfied with this small car; its performance was good, and it responded well when accelerating or changing lanes. In fact, its driving performance was better than the Cruze I rented later. However, the car is still a compact size, which feels a bit small in the U.S., unlike driving a larger car which gives more confidence. I recommend renting at least a standard or mid-size car.

The counter asked for a translated driver's license, typically required for international tourists. However, self-service car pickup was available at the machine. There are plenty of staff at the airport counter, so despite the number of renters, I didn't have to wait long. Returning the car was easy with the airport signs, and staff were available immediately upon arrival. Everything went smoothly. Due to a change in my trip, I extended the rental by two days with a quick phone call. The service was good.

The car model I reserved was unavailable, so I had to pay extra to switch to a Sonata. Since my English isn't very good, I couldn't negotiate much with the staff. The additional cost wasn't significant, so I just accepted it. The car was new and in excellent condition. I wasn't very familiar with the routes, and after returning the car, I received a credit card bill. I'm not sure if it's for a traffic violation or toll fees, but it was quite expensive, nearly $200, which is almost as much as the rental fee.

This is a large company with a lot of business. I changed my booking to Alamo last minute, and since I originally prepared a translation for another company, I had to use my phone to create a driver's license translation for Alamo. The branch manager helped me print it out, which took some time but was helpful. I wanted to rent a Japanese midsize SUV, but all the midsize options were Jeeps, which was a bit disappointing.

We almost paid double the price. They added extra insurance and refueling services that we didn't need. Luckily, we checked the bill before going through security and noticed the amount was far off from our reservation. Since RentACar website had no consultation option, we went to the counter and explained the situation. The staff was helpful and canceled the extra charges. We were fortunate! The counter service advised us to always check our contract before taking the car. We couldn't relax for a moment; if we had noticed this back in our country, it would have been impossible to resolve.

The staff was very friendly and patient. You can handle the rental at a self-service kiosk, but our domestic driving licenses still needed to be verified at a manual counter. All the fees were clearly explained, and there were no ambiguous charges. As we were about to leave the airport in the rental car, the inspector found that our selected car was still under maintenance because its license plate had expired. They immediately brought another car for us. In the process of changing cars, we carelessly left our phone in the original car. The staff quickly called the person who had taken the original car and had it returned, so we got our phone back. Overall, the car rental process was very smooth, and the staff had excellent attitudes.
