Renters must contact AVIS (Tel: + 54 0810 9991 2847; Email: reservations@avis.com.ar) at least 7 working days prior to the pick-up date to report the cross-border request, so that AVIS can apply for and prepare the special cross-border permit. If the request is confirmed, the customer must provide their credit card information (number, expiration date, security code) to secure the permit. If renters cancel the cross-border request less than 48 working hours before the pick-up date and time, an administrative fee will be charged to their credit card, and the amount of the fee will be the same as the cross-border fee. Notes: Only for rentals with a minimum of 6 consecutive days for car groups G (SGMR) and N (FPMR). Rio Grande and Ushuaia are on an island that shares a border with Chile.
