To drive in Netherlands, the driver need to present a valid national driver's license that has been held for at least 1 or 2 years (according to different car rental company).The minimum age to drive in Netherlands is 21 years old (age may vary by car category)
All licenses issued in the European Union are accepted.
Driver's licenses from non-EU countries (except Switzerland) are accepted if you have a visa in your passport and at the time of rental have not been in Europe for longer than 6 months. If your domestic driver's license is printed with non-Roman Alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic etc), an International Driving Permit (IDP/IDL) or an official translation in English is required together with your driver's license when you drive in Netherlands.

The pick up and drop off took a bit more time than an in airport rental but at LAX or other places, you still need to get on a bus and get to the location. Just make sure you have sufficient time on drop off because there can be traffic to the airport.

The staff gave us another Nissan Qashqai, but there was a problem with the driver seat that couldn't be adjusted.

Alamo is a deceptive company, colluding with Zuzuche to scam customers. On July 18, 2024, I rented an Audi A3 in Amsterdam but was given a Kia Ceed, and they told me it's a car of the same class. They even said cars rented through Zuzuche are like this, and only their official website can guarantee the correct car. Clearly, they are working together to deceive customers. On July 21, 2024, I rented a Volkswagen Passat in Berlin, but they gave me a Volkswagen T-Roc, claiming it was an upgrade. The T-Roc is much smaller than the Passat, and I couldn't even fit my luggage. After arguing with them for half an hour, they finally gave me a Tiguan. I feel like Alamo and Zuzuche are scamming customers together. The cars I received were of lower class than what I booked, yet they insisted they were of the same level. Having rented cars abroad countless times, this is the first time I have been scammed twice, and both times by Alamo.

Additionally, parking rates are €25-30/24h in Rotterdam, €45/24h in Belgium, and €46/24h in French underground parking lots. It's suggested to return the car in France and use the metro during your stay there. When traveling to other countries, rent a car again. Renting in the city center is half as expensive as at the airport, but returning a car at the airport is more convenient. You can weigh the pros and cons yourself.

Q2. How can I add an addtional driver?
You are advised to make a request upon your arrival at the rental counter. Additional charge per day will incur unless '1 Additional Driver Included' is stipulated on the rental. Please note that the same licence and age requirement applys to the additonal driver. The addtional driver is supposed to present the required licence document along with the main driver at pickup.
Q3.What if I want to pick up or drop off my rental car out of office hours?

Q4. Can I take the hired car to another country or cross border?
If you want to pick up your car in one country and drop it in another, your search results will show you cars you can do that with. Depending on where you're hiring, you may not be able to take your car to another country. Yes. You can pick up the vehicle in one place and drop it off in another. An ‘one-way fee’ will incur.
